funeral for unknown South African soldier (Frank Mahieu) - Wijtschate - 16/09/2025
Paying tribute today to an unknown South African soldier at his solemn funeral at Wijtschate Military Cemetery.
The service was conducted by Revd. Army Chaplain John Storey and the military honours peformed by men of the 5th Bn. The Rifles.
May he now rest in peace among his comrades for ever.

Vandaag brachten wij hulde aan een onbekende Zuid-Afrikaanse soldaat bij zijn plechtige begrafenis op de militaire begraafplaats van Wijtschate.
De dienst werd geleid door Revd. Army Chaplain John Storey en de militaire eer werd waargenomen door mannen van de 5th Bn. The Rifles.
Moge hij nu voor altijd in vrede rusten onder zijn kameraden.
