Funeral service for four French soldiers of the Great War at the
French National Cemetery St. Charles de Potyze, Ypres
.
One of them was identified, Sergeant Valentin Menétré of the 2nd Bn. ‘Chasseurs à pied’ who was killed in the Wijtschate sector on 15 December 1914. Among the unknown soldiers were men of the 'Tiralleur Sénégalais' fallen in the Tuinwijk sector (Diksmuide).
