Burial Belgian soldier - De Panne - 10/11/2025
On the eve of Armistice Day, 10 November 2025, a Belgian soldier who fell during the First World War was laid to rest at the Belgian military cemetery in De Panne. It has been since 2018 that such a funeral ceremony has taken place.
 
On Monday 10 November 2025, the remains of a soldier found in Diksmuide in 2024 were transferred from Diksmuide to De Panne. The soldier was buried with military honours at the Belgian military cemetery, the largest in Belgium with victims of the First World War. It has been since 2018 that such a funeral ceremony has taken place. Before that, the last burial of a Belgian soldier from the Great War dates back to 1952.
