In the morning of Sept. 15th 2022 a rededication service was held at Messines British Cemetery for Lance Corporal Frederick Thomas Wilkinson. L.Cpl. Wilkinson was killed on 29 June 1917, aged only 19, while serving with the 13th. Bn. The Kings Royal Rifle Corps (KRRC). He was on born on 29 November 1897 in London, the youngest son of Charles and Louisa Wilkinson. He already enlisted on 20 Sept. 1914, first with the 2nd. Bn then transferred to the 13th Bn. KRRC. On a patrol while the battalion was consolidating the frontline near the hamlet Oosttaveerne (Wijtschate) Frederick was killed. His original grave site got lost later in the war. Research anyhow now lead to identification and Federick Wilkinson now has a known grave. The service was conducted by Revd. Pritchard Chaplain to the Forces.  
Group Capt. John Dickson represented the British Embassy and 2nd. Lt. Hayder Al-Azzawi of the 8th. Bn The Rifles paid tribute to his predecessor of the KRRC. The ceremony was organised by the MOD War Detectives, the new headstone provided by the CWGC who will take of this for ever.

In de ochtend van 15 sept. 2022 werd een herinwijdingsceremonie gehouden op Messines British Cemetery voor Lance Corporal Frederick Thomas Wilkinson. Lcpl. WIlkinson sneuvelde op 29 juni 1917, slechts 19 jaar oud. Hij diende bij het 13e. Bataljon The Kings Royal Rifle Corps (KRRC).  Hij werd geboren op  29 november 1897 in London, als joingtse zoon van Charles enLouisa Wilkinson. Hij nam dienst reeds op  20 september 1914, eerst bij het 2nd. Bn en daarna bij het 13th Bn. KRRC.Tijdens een patrouille, terwijl het bataljon de fronltijn consolideerde nabij het gehucht Oosttaveerne, werd Frederick gedood. Het oorspronkelijke graf ging verloren later in de oorlog
Verder onderzoek leidde er nu toch toe dat Federick Wilkinson werd geïdentificeerd en nu een gekend graf heeft. De dienst werd voorgegaan door aalmoezenier Pritchard. Group Capt. John Dickson vertegenwoordigde de Britse Ambassade en 2nd. Lt. Hayder Al-Azzawi van het 8e. Bn The Rifles bracht hulde aan zijn voorganger van het KRRC. De ceremonie werd georganiseerd door de MOD War Detectives, de nieuwe grzaerk werd door de CWGC voorzien die er voor altijd zal voor zorgen..
