rededication for 2nd.Lt's. T. Brogan & E. Hopkins (Frank Mahieu) - Ieper - 23/10/2025
After the outdoor ceremony on the morning of 23rd October 2025 for 2nd Lt. E. L. Kellie, both rededication ceremonies of the afternoon were conducted at St. George's Memorial Church at Ypres due to the bad weather. The ceremonies for 2nd.Lt. Thomas William Brogan (KIA 26 Oct 917) of the 2n Bn. Royal Marine Light Infantry and for 2dn Lt. Eric Arthur Hopkins (KIA 5 May 1915) of the 1st Bn. Bedfordshire Regt. were conducted respectively by Army Chaplains John Money and Joseph Roberts. Relatives of both men attended as did members of the regiments concerned. Thomas an Eric now longer rest as unknown soldiers but known to all an every one for ever. Thomas Brogan rests at Poelcapelle British Cemetery and Eric Hopkins at Bedford House Cemetery

Na de buitenceremonie op de ochtend van 23 oktober 2025 voor 2nd Lt. E. L. Kellie, werden beide herinwijdingsceremonies van de namiddag gehouden in de St. George's Memorial Church in Ieper vanwege het slechte weer. De ceremonies voor 2nd. Lt. Thomas William Brogan (+26 oktober 1917) van de 2n Bn. Royal Marine Light Infantry en voor 2nd. Lt. Eric Arthur Hopkins (+ 5 mei 1915) van het 1st Bn. Bedfordshire Regt. werden respectievelijk geleid door legeraalmoezeniers John Money en Joseph Roberts. Familieleden van beide gesneuvelden waren aanwezig, evenals leden van de betreffende regimenten. Thomas en Eric rusten nu langer als onbekende soldaten, maar zijn bij iedereen en voor altijd bekend. Thomas Brogan rust op Poelcapelle British Cemetery en Eric Hopkins op Bedford House Cemetery
